7 Bible Verses To Start Your Day
Pray through these scriptures each day of the week.
I have been trying something new recently: praying through particular scriptures every day of the week. I have been thinking of ways to start the day immediately, focusing on what God has for me.
So, today, I thought I would share these seven scriptures with you so you might adopt them into your morning routines.
"Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life." - Psalm 143:8
"Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." - Lamentations 3:22-23
"In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly." - Psalm 5:3
"Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love, that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days." - Psalm 90:14
"I rise before dawn and cry for help; I have put my hope in your word." - Psalm 119:147
"Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed." - Mark 1:35
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." - Proverbs 3:5-6
Even more recently, I have been starting a declaration prayer along with my morning Bible verse:
“I awaken with gratitude for this new day and the life within me. May my actions reflect kindness, my words bring light, and my mind seeks wisdom. I declare to treat all respectfully, seeing the divine in each person I meet. Let me face challenges with courage and approach work with purpose. May I steward creation, nurture relationships, and find joy in each moment? As I step into this day, I do so with faith, hope, and love. May my life bless others, and may I receive the blessings this day holds. Amen.
